Old Towne Music has a long standing history
of music teaching excellence. We've been providing private music
lessons in all instruments and voice since 1974.
As South Jersey's largest music school,
we use the latest, most effective techniques available. And,
we make it convenient and fun in a professional, creative environment!
With over 32 teaching studios and a staffed lesson appointment
desk, our goal is to make music lessons hassle-free for you and
your family.
Our teachers at Old Towne Music have a
University Music Degree or have passed a comprehensive performance
and instructional evaluation before they are made available to
teach our students. Our staff is attuned to each individual student's
unique learning needs and musical goals. They take the time to
not only teach, but to encourage and motivate musicians.

Even if a student is already
taking music lessons at school, our program can complement that
school program, providing one-on-one attention and direction.
Private music instruction at Old Towne is a great way to give
your child an added advantage.
We offer private lessons and
special group classes along with a Drama program and regularly
scheduled music recitals. And don't forget, our Discount Music
Store is also here to meet your every need - with sales, rentals
and repairs of a full line of musical instruments and equipment!
We dedicate ourselves to helping
students be the best musicians they can be. We look forward to
serving you.

HOW OLD TOWNE MUSIC COMPARES TO OTHERS
Meet Our Department Heads
Guitar / Bass Department
Joe DiBartolo:
Joe DiBartolo has been teaching
guitar and bass at Old Towne Music for the past 11 years. Joe
started out as self-taught, but received his formal education
at Camden County College, where he earned an Associates Degree
in Arts, and then attended Glassboro State (now Rowan University),
where he earned a Bachelors Degree, cum laude, in Music Education.
Among his musical endeavors,
last year he recorded a solo CD, "Before The Night is Through,"
which was recorded and produced by Frank Kozak. This past summer,
Joe, Frank Kozak and Shawn Robinson (drum instructor at Old Towne
Music) formed Bluesbox, which can be seen performing throughout
the Tri-State area.
Frank Kozak:
Frank Kozak has been an instructor
at Old Towne music for over seven years. In addition to teaching,
he also performs, writes, engineers and produces music. Frank
has a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Performance and is a graduate
of Rowan University.
For the past ten years, Frank
has performed as a free-lance musician throughout the east coast
in various musical settings. As a session musician, Frank has
recorded at the Philadelphia studio complex "A Touch of
Jazz" (DJ Jazzy Jeff's studio) under the production of Pete
Kuzma. Frank is also a member of the American Society of Composers,
Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and is a signed artist with Song
House Publishing Company.
Drum/Percussion Department
Shawn Robinson:
Since graduating from Temple
with a Bachelors in Music Education Degree, Shawn has continued
to hand down his musical knowledge to students throughout the
Philadelphia and South Jersey region. For the last six years,
he has been a member of the Philadelphia School District, teaching
percussion at elementary, middle and high schools, as well as
serving as a member of the All-City High School Orchestra committee
for the last three years. This orchestra, made up of Philadelphia's
finest high school musicians, performs annually at the Academy
of Music.
Over the last 2 1/2 years, he
has been teaching drums at Old Towne Music. Three nights out
of the week, Shawn thoroughly enjoys teaching students on a one-to-one
basis. This differs greatly from his experiences in the Philadelphia
School District, where students learn in a group setting.
Currently, Shawn can be heard
playing in the South Jersey area with fellow Old Towne teachers,
Joe DiBartolo and Frank Kozak as members of the blues power trio,
